Hidden Water Leaks

Recently while working on a water damage claim in Glenside, PA, we were called upon by a homeowner to confirm her suspicion that there was a leak in one of her pipes inside the wall. While there was no dripping water, she noticed a musty odor coming from one area of her kitchen, below the bathroom as well as some discoloration on the ceiling.  Well, she was right.  There was a very small leak in the pipe under the sink in the bathroom which had caused damage to the sheetrock between this bathroom and the kitchen ceiling. Using a moisture meter and years of experience, we were able to figure out where the water was coming from. There are other signs that you may have a water issue that you cannot see. We will discuss those later.
